Privacy Policy — SendingThx

The short version

SendingThx does not collect phone numbers directly from consumers, does not build a marketing contact list, and does not sell or share personal information with third parties for advertising. Every phone number we handle is provided by a retailer, tied to one specific delivery, and used only to send the notifications described in our SMS Terms.

What information we receive

When a retailer using SendingThx fulfills an order marked as a gift, we receive:

The recipient's phone number, entered by the purchaser at checkout
The sender's and recipient's name, read from the order's billing and shipping address so we can personalize the notification (e.g., "Sarah sent Maya a gift...")
Basic order details needed to generate the notification (retailer name, delivery status, and — where the purchaser provides one — a short personal note)
If a recipient replies to a notification, the content of that reply, so it can be relayed back to the purchaser

We read the shipping and billing address only to identify these names — we do not store the street address, city, or zip code. We also do not receive or store full payment information or account credentials. Those remain with the retailer's own systems.

How we use this information

Phone numbers and order details are used solely to:

Send the transactional delivery notification described in our SMS Terms
Relay a recipient's reply (such as a thank-you note) back to the purchaser, without exposing either party's phone number to the other
Respond to opt-out requests (Reply STOP) and help requests sent to our support address

We do not use phone numbers or message content for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the specific delivery that generated them.

What we don't do

We don't build contact lists. Numbers are tied to a single transaction, not added to any ongoing list. We don't send marketing messages under this program. We don't sell, rent, or share personal information with data brokers or advertisers.

How long we keep information

Message content and phone numbers associated with a delivery are retained only as long as needed to complete the notification and any associated reply relay, and to maintain records required for SMS compliance and carrier audits. We do not retain numbers for future, unrelated messaging.

Sharing with third parties

We share information only with the service providers necessary to deliver the notification itself — our SMS carrier and delivery infrastructure partners — under agreements that limit their use of that information to providing the service to us. We do not share information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your choices

Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving further messages tied to that delivery. Because each message is tied to a single transaction rather than a standing subscription, there is typically no ongoing list to opt back into. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of SendingThx after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
